TWO-VEHICLE FATALITY CRASH

Madison, WI – At 4:14 p.m. Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, Stoughton Police, Stoughton Fire Department, Stoughton EMS, and Med Flight responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on USH 51 near Lake Kegonsa Rd. in the Town of Dunn.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken by Med-Flight with life threatening injuries to an area hospital.  The drivers were the solo occupants of their respective vehicles.

No additional information about the persons involved or the cause of the crash is available at this time.  Personnel from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team, Investigative Services Bureau, and Lab Evidence Technicians are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash at this time.
