The Dane County Sheriff’s Office has an eight-person dive team, comprised of a team leader, divemaster, and six other divers. All divers are sworn staff. The team trains during most months throughout the year in preparation for team call-outs. They receive additional training in ice dives, underwater evidence recovery, dry-suit certification, and advanced open water diving.
