Community Notification Meeting

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging citizens from the town of Medina, Village of Marshall, and the Village of Waterloo, to attend a community notification meeting regarding the release of Anthony Velez. A Core Team evaluates and makes decisions on the level of notification to the community for the release of sex offenders under Wisconsin Statutes 301.45 and 301.46. The Core Team will be holding a Community Notification meeting on Monday March 23, 2009 at 6:30 PM. This meeting will be held at the Marshall Library in the community room at 605 Waterloo Rd., Marshall, Wisconsin. At this meeting we will be offering information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Anthony Velez. A photo of Anthony Velez will be available at this meeting, as well as more detailed information regarding his offense. Information about protective behaviors and personal safety in our community will also be discussed. ###
