Madison, WI. March 13, 2009 – At approximately 4:22 pm on Thursday, March 12th, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a short pursuit after Peggy R. Blagus, age 35 of Sun Prairie, fled a traffic stop initiated for speeding. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons at the intersection of Daffodil Lane and Piccadilly Street in the City of Madison. The pursuit lasted only about 5 minutes and covered approximately 4.4 miles.

It was at that point Blagus fed the scene. She has five previous OWI’s and was operating with a revoked license.
Once Blagus is located she will be charged with Eluding, OAR – 2nd Offense. She will also be cited for speeding and passing in a no passing zone.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13 the City of Madison Police following a tip arrested Blagus. She was turned over to Sheriff’s Deputies and taken to the Dane County Jail where she faces charges of Eluding, OAR-2nd Offense, and a Probation Hold.
