Madison, WI – At approximately 4:30 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle near the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and County Highway N as it entered the City of Stoughton. The Dane County Dispatch Center previously aired the driver may be intoxicated and deputies observed a registration violation.
Alfred P. Oliver, age 49, of Stoughton, reportedly left the DeJope Bingo Hall intoxicated. Dane County Sheriff’s deputies came upon the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Oliver was uncooperative and Stoughton Police assisted the deputies. Oliver was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony OWI charge.
