Edgerton Man Arrested for 5th OWI Offense

At approximately 9:40 p.m., a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Interstate 90, approximately one tenth of a mile west of County Highway N, in the Town of Pleasant Springs. As a result of this traffic stop, George K. Wood, age 48, of Edgerton, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated – 5th Offense. Wood was booked into the Dane County Jail on the felony OWI charge. He was also cited for Operating after Revocation, Deviating From the Lane of Traffic, and No Seatbelt.
