Intoxicated Driver Rams Garage

At approximately 11:15 pm on Monday April 13th, homeowners on the 4300 block of Curry Lane in the town of Windsor were lying in bed watching TV when they were startled by a loud noise outside. When one of the homeowners went to investigate the noise, he found a car in his driveway repeatedly ramming into his garage door. The man went to confront the driver of the vehicle, and soon realized the driver was intoxicated. His wife called police just as the driver fled the scene in his 2003 Dodge Neon. Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped the vehicle approximately two blocks from the home where the driver fought with deputies. Weston D. Grefe, age 17 of Deforest, was cited for OWI- 1st Offense. Grefe has also been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver marijuana, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, Resisting, and Hit and Run. Grefe is currently being held in the Dane County Jail. ###
