At approximately 1:11 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Fire Departments from Stoughton, Oregon, McFarland, Edgerton and Brooklyn, responded to 511 Danks Road, Town of Rutland, for a structure fire. Upon arrival, flames were seen coming from a pole shed that was on the property.
The shed, which contained several vehicles and tools, was a complete loss. The estimated loss at this time is approximately $50,000.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was reported by the homeowner. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
