One-Vehicle Fatality Crash

At approximately 10:35 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on US Highway 18/151 near Sand Rock Road in the town of Blue Mounds. The driver of a 2005 Ford pick-up truck had been traveling eastbound on US Highway 18/151, when witnesses say he drifted into the snow covered median. The pick-up became airborne and then rolled across the westbound lane, eventually coming to rest in the ditch on the north side of the highway. The driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was a 49-year-old man from East Troy, WI. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name is currently being withheld pending notification of his family. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. ###
