Madison, WI. May 7, 2009 At 4:47 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with Dane Fire and Waunakee EMS, were dispatched to the intersection of County Highway V and Lodi Springfield Road, in the Town of Dane, for a two-vehicle crash with injuries. A 1999 Lexus ES300, driven by Victor K. Suy, 18, of Madison was traveling north on Lodi Springfield Road approaching Highway V, when he slowed down but failed to stop at the stop sign at that intersection. His vehicle was struck at the passenger side door by a westbound 1997 Toyota T100 pick-up truck driven by Michael T. Healy, 31, of Madison. Phonephane J. Thonesavanh, age 17, of Madison who was a passenger in Suy’s vehicle, was transported to U.W. Hospital, via Med Flight, with serious injuries. Thonesavanh had been pined in the vehicle and had to be extricated. Suy and Healy were transported via EMS with non-life threatening injuries. All involved were wearing seatbelts. None of the vehicles’ air bags deployed. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office
