Chimney Fire in the Town of Blue Mounds

Madison, WI. April 5, 2010 – At approximately 1:14 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Mount Horeb and Verona Fire Departments responded to 2203 CTH JG, in the Town of Blue Mounds, for a chimney fire. The homeowner called the 911 Center when he saw flames emitting from the roof.

All occupants of the house escaped safely and no one was injured. A wood-burning fireplace appears to be the cause of the fire, which remains under investigation. The home sustained significant damage and an estimate is unavailable at this time.
