At approximately 1:02 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Edgerton Police and Fire Departments, responded to 306 Goede Rd, Town of Albion, for a structure fire. Upon arrival, a barn on the property was fully engulfed in flames.
The barn and several items of farm machinery that were parked nearby were destroyed in the fire and are considered a total loss. The estimated loss at this time is in excess of $1,000,000.
No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was reported by a resident of the property, but also observed by numerous motorists traveling on Interstate 39/90. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
