Kelley-Williamson Gas Station Held up By Armed Robber

At 8:54 pm, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Kelley-Williamson Mobil Gas Station, 6859 County Highway K, in the Town of Springfield, after receiving a report of an armed robbery. Employees and witnesses at the gas station reported a lone gunman entered the store, displayed a handgun, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Responding deputies were on scene within two minutes of the call and immediately set up a perimeter. A K-9 assisted with tracking the suspect, however, the suspect was not located.
The robber is described as a black male, 5’10” tall, medium build and clean shaven. He was wearing black colored pants, a black sweatshirt, and a black doo-rag on his head. The handgun was described as being a black colored semi-automatic.
This evening’s incident remains under investigation, and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the suspect at the Kelley-Williamson Mobil-Mart this evening, to call the tip line at (608) 284-6900.
