5th Offense OWI

Madison, WI April 17, 2009 – On Friday, April 17, at approximately 6:30 pm, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Crocker St. in the Village of Mazomanie. The deputy recognized the driver from a previous OWI arrest and was aware the driver’s operating status was revoked. Gerardo Mena, age 24 of Mazomanie, was arrested on a felony 5th offense OWI charge. Mena is currently being held in the Dane County Jail. In addition to the OWI charge, Mena is also being held on a charge of bail jumping and a probation hold.
