One Injured in Town of Westport Crash

Madison, WI: At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2009 Dane County Deputies, Waunakee Police Department, Waunakee Fire, and Waunakee EMS responded to the intersection of State Highway 19 and State Highway 113 in the Town of Westport for a report of an injury crash. A car operated by Shaun L. Moua, age 45 from Madison, pulled out from a stop sign on eastbound State Highway 19 at State Highway 113 into the path of a westbound motorcycle on State Highway 113 driven by Frank D. Smith, age 52 from Madison. The two vehicles collided. Smith was transported, via Med Flight, to U.W. Hospital for a serious leg injury. The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
