Hit and Run Crash - Updated

At approximately 8:15 pm on Monday, August 25th, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on STH 138 and Starr School Road in the town of Rutland. Wendy Sime, age 18 of Stoughton, was driving a Jeep Cherokee westbound on STH 138. Her 16-year-old brother, Ronald L. Sime, was a passenger in the vehicle. While Wendy was attempting to turn south on to Starr School Road, she was rear ended by a Chevy Blazer. Both the driver and passenger of the Chevy Blazer then fled the scene of the crash on foot. With the assistance of Dane County Deputy Jay O’Neil and K-9 Thor, one of the occupants of the Chevy Blazer, Tyler M. Miller, age 19 of Stoughton, was located in a nearby cornfield. He suffered serious injuries in the crash and was transported by Med Flight to UW Hospital. The second occupant remains at large. Wendy and Ronald Sime were both wearing their seatbelts and were transported by Stoughton EMS with non-life threatening injures. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Dane County tip line at 284-6900. ***UPDATE*** August 26, 2008 - At approximately 12:40 pm, Dane County Sheriff's Deputies located the second occupant of the Chevy Blazer. Damien S. Georgeson, age 18 of Stoughton, was located at a residence in Stoughton. He was initally taken to Stoughton Hospital, but has been transferred to UW Hospital due to the extent of his injuries. Georgeson is being held on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Battery. Deputies continue to investigate the Hit and Run crash and charges relating to that incident are pending.
