Two Injured When Motorcycle Collides With Deer

Madison, WI: Friday, June 13, 2008 At 10:45 pm Dane County Sheriff's Office Deputies, Belleville Police, and Belleville Fire and EMS, were dispatched to a motorcycle vs. deer crash on CTH D at CTH DD in the Town of Montrose. Preliminary information indicated both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were thrown from the motorcycle after it collided with the deer. Charles L. Christy, age 58, of Belleville, was traveling south on CTH D when a deer ran out in front of his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle 3/10 of a mile north of CTH DD. After striking the deer, Christy and his passenger, Marcia M. Christy, age 50, also of Belleville, were thrown from the motorcycle. Charles was transported by Med-Flight and Marcia was transported by Belleville EMS to UW Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both Charles and Marcia were wearing helmets, and the deer was killed in the collision.
