OWI Arrest

Madison, WI. March 31, 2008 – At approximately 2:45 am on March 30th, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jason D. Meylor, age 29 of Columbus, for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense. At approximately 2:07 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Branch Street Retreat to assist Middleton Police with a bar fight. Police at the scene of the bar fight had contact with Meylor, who was told by the officer not to drive due to his level of intoxication. Contrary to the direction, Meylor proceeded to get into his 1991 Ford Ranger pick-up and drive away. A deputy who witnessed him leave immediately got into his squad and stopped Meylor at Parmenter Street and Lisa Lane. At the time of the arrest, the deputy was informed by dispatch that Meylor had been arrested by Sun Prairie Police approximately 5 hours earlier for the same offense. After being arrested by Sun Prairie Police, Meylor was released to a responsible party, a common practice for such an arrest. Following his 2nd arrest for the evening, Meylor was booked into the Dane County Jail. He was also cited for Operating After Suspension.
