Red Van Sought by Sheriff’s Office

At approximately 7:58 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a motorcycle crash on CTH MM near Oregon. The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on CTH MM when an older model red van traveling southbound attempted to pass a white vehicle, entering into the path of the motorcycle. To avoid being struck head-on by the red van, the motorcyclist swerved and crashed on the shoulder of the highway. Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for the driver of the older model red van, which witnesses say has tinted windows, and may have a white stripe near the bottom of the vehicle. Anyone with information on this vehicle or the driver is asked to call the Dane County Communications Center non-emergency line at (608) 266-4948. The motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man from Oregon, received minor injuries in the crash and was transported by Oregon EMS to UW Hospital.
