Madison, WI. September 21, 2008 – Inmate Robert G. Walther has been declared AWOL from the Custody Alternative Monitoring Program. Walther was serving 180 days for Burglary and living with his family on Twilight Drive in the City of Sun Prairie. Walther was placed on the Custody Alternative Monitoring Program (C.A.M.P.) September 14, 2008 and was being monitored by a GPS ankle bracelet. Walther removed the bracelet September 21, 2008 and has failed to make contact with anyone from the C.A.M.P. program since that time. Walther’s last known location was his residence in Sun Prairie. He is described as a white male, 20 years of age, 5’8” and weighs 150 lbs. He has brown eyes and brown hair and may have a beard and mustache. Walther also has a tattoo of a cross on his upper right arm, the letters BRS accompanied by a star on his left wrist, and a cross on the forefinger of his left hand. Anyone with information regarding Walther’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911. * * * UPDATE * * * Through the efforts of Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Sun Prairie Police Department, Robert G. Walther was located at an address in Sun Prairie. He was arrested without incident, returned to the Dane County Jail and tentatively charged with Escape.
