Fraudulent Asphalt Transaction

September 16, 2008 Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Middleton to investigate a fraudelent Asphalt/Paving transaction. The property owner was approached by employees of the Asphalt/Paving company requesting to empty the remainder of their asphalt on the property. The property owner agreed and was then presented with a bill for the asphalt emptied on the property. The Asphalt/Paving company is a traveling business not licensed in Wisconsin. The owner of the company, Stewart V.Williams, 20, from Quaker Hill, CT, was arrested for Attempted Fraud. It is believed this company has been in the area for approximately the last ten days.
