Two-Vehicle Crash

At approximately 8:45 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to US Highway 51 and Halverson Road in the town of Dunn for a two-vehicle crash. A Charter Communications pick-up truck was traveling southbound on US Highway 51 and stopped to make a left turn onto Halverson road. A bread truck following the pick-up failed to stop and rear-ended the pick-up, pushing the vehicle across the northbound lane and into the ditch. The driver of the bread truck, Gary A. Worm, age 56 of Milwaukee was transported by Med flight to UW Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Worm was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Charter Communications pick-up truck, Brian D. Kruse, age 27 of Madison was transported to Stoughton Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. Kruse was wearing a seatbelt. The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and citations are pending. ###
