Huber Inmate Arrested

Madison, WI. June 16, 2008 – At approximately 9:15 am, an inmate on Huber release from the Dane County Jail was arrested on tentative charges of Robbery. The incident occurred at the Mobile Gas Station located at 3505 East Washington Avenue in the City of Madison. Corey L. Holly, age 18 of Fitchburg, was booked into the Jail at approximately 1:20 pm. Holly was arrested in August of 2007 on Armed Robbery charges and given a one-year sentence with Huber, which he began serving in February of 2008. Under Huber, Holly began attending classes at MATC, which he has done consistently since February. Today, Holly was scheduled to attend an 8:00 class at MATC’s campus on Anderson Street in Madison. Holly did not arrive as scheduled, and a short time later, the Dane County Jail was notified that Madison Police had arrested him. Holly is not part of the jail’s Custody Alternative Monitoring Program (CAMP) and is not on electronic monitoring. Since February, Holly had been reviewed by jail staff twice for the electronic monitoring program, but denied entrance into CAMP based on the severity of his charges. As of today, the Dane County Jail has 141 inmates in the CAMP program. Any questions related to the Robbery should be directed to the Madison Police Department.
