Earlier today, a press conference was held to publicize the ongoing efforts of detectives with the countywide Blue Net Burglary Task Force to solve the recent surge of burglaries throughout Dane County and the surrounding area. In addition to the arrests that were announced at this morning’s press conference, Dane County detectives have arrested the following individuals in connection with burglaries that have occurred in the county. · Robert D. Soehle, age 29 of Dane. · Patrick R. Wenger, age 20 of Lodi. · Phillip W. Smith, age 45 of Madison. · Nathan J.H. Mistele, age 25 of Madison. · Tramaine I. Franklin, age 20 of Madison. Since January 2008, 29 businesses have been burglarized in the county, and at least 12 of those occurred at taverns where cash, alcohol and cigarettes were consistently taken. The men mentioned above, as well as others, have been charged in connection with burglaries at the following businesses: · Super 8 Motel, 4506 Lake Circle, town of Windsor. · Missouri Tavern, 7071 Kickapoo Road, town of Springfield. · Quick Stop, 1888 Barber Drive, town of Dunn. · JJ’s Top of the Swamp, 5344 Highway 113, town of Westport. · YRLess Solution, 5440 Willow Road, town of Westport. · Dawg Days Grooming and Care, 5305 River Road, town of Westport. Detectives believe the men are responsible for several more burglaries, but to date have not been formally charged with those crimes. As the Task Force of detectives continues to work together with the Dane County District Attorney’s Office, additional charges may be brought against them. ###
