At approximately 11:30 pm on Thursday May 29th, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the BP Gas Station and Arby’s Restaurant at 2763 CTH N in the town of Pleasant Springs. A patron of the Arby’s drive-thru reportedly became belligerent when he felt that his food was not being prepared fast enough. The man proceeded to open the drive-thru window from the outside and began yelling threats and racial slurs at the three employees working inside. He then parked his Ford F-350 pick-up in the parking lot, got out and began walking toward the restaurant continuing to yell threats. When the employees came out of the restaurant to get the man’s license plate number, he re-entered the vehicle, put it in reverse and backed it toward the employees, nearly striking them before driving off down the highway. Dane County Deputies located and arrested 26 year-old Aaron M. Eggerichs of Stoughton. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of OWI, 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety (3 counts), and Disorderly Conduct (3 counts), with a Hate Crime Enhancer. ###
