Mazomanie Man Arrested for 6th OWI Offense

The Dane County Sheriff's Office arrested Fredrick G. Hurst, 60, from Mazomanie Thursday night for his 6th offense of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated. Hurst was operating his vehicle in the Village of Mazomanie and was observed by a deputy pull his vehicle into a gas station at 133 Crescent St. Hurst was recognized by the deputy from past professional contacts and the deputy was aware Hurst's driving privileges were revoked. When the deputy made contact with Hurst, it was then determined he had been drinking. Hurst was subsequently arrested. Hurst was booked into the Dane County Jail on felony charges of Operating While Intoxicated, where he remains at this time.
