An Inmate of the Dane County Jail is AWOL - UPDATE

Madison, WI – March 10, 2008 On March 10, 2008, Kelvin Collier, an inmate in the Dane County Jail, failed to return to the Ferris Center Jail following a scheduled appointment. Collier was released from the Ferris Center Jail at 12:25 p.m. for the appointment, but did not return at the designated time. The Dane County Deputy following up on the failure to return, subsequently learned that Collier did not attend the appointment. Collier was declared AWOL at 6:00 p.m. on March 10, 2008. At the time Collier went AWOL, he was serving a 5 month sentence with work release for Battery. Following the completion of that sentence he was to serve a 30-day sentence for Bail Jumping. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Anyone with information on Collier’s whereabouts is asked to call 911. Collier is described as a 46-year old black male, 6’01” tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a heart with an arrow on his right forearm and a tattoo of a six-point star on his right hand. He also is missing his right eye. **UPDATE** Collier returned to the jail March 11, 2008 at approximately 10:45 a.m. He will face an additional charge of Escape.
