BURGLARY SUSPECT APPREHENDED - Update

Madison, WI. March 7, 2008. -- At approximately 12:14 am, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with officers from the Village of McFarland and City of Stoughton, responded to the Mobil Quick Stop, located at 1888 Barber Dr., Town of Dunn, for an intrusion alarm. Upon arrival, a masked individual was observed exiting the premises and was taken into custody by deputies. Nathan J.H. Mistle, age 24 of Madison, was arrested and booked into the Dane County Jail on the following charges: Burglary; Possession of Burglary Tools; Criminal Damage to Property; and Resisting. The Burglary remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. ***UPDATE*** March 7, 2008 – Through subsequent investigation, a second suspect in the burglary at the Mobil Quick Stop in the Town of Dunn has been identified and arrested. Dane County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested Phillip W. Smith, age 45 of Fitchburg. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of Burglary – Party to a Crime.
