OWI Arrest – 5th Offense

At approximately 1:00 am, a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to 4644 CTH DM in the town of Windsor to investigate a report of a vehicle revving the engine, possibly stuck in a snow bank. The driver of the vehicle, Douglas A. Nelson, age 51 of Morrisonville, was able to free his vehicle from the snow bank as the deputy arrived at the scene. In the process, Nelson backed his vehicle into the front tire of the deputy’s squad. Nelson was transported to Meriter Hospital for a blood draw and booked into the Dane County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated – 5th Offense. There was no damage to either vehicle. ###
