TWO VEHICLE CRASH IN THE TOWN OF SPRINGDALE

On Friday, February 8, 2008 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Deputies from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Verona Police Department, Mt. Horeb EMS and Verona Fire responded to a two-vehicle crash at U.S. Highway 18/151 and Spring Rose Road in the Town of Springdale.
Lukas G. Peper, 20, of Fitchburg, was turning south from Highway 18/151 onto Spring Rose Road in a 1989 Cadillac Deville. Peper turned into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Envoy, operated by Elinor L. Kunsch, 39, of Middleton. Peper’s passenger, Matthew D. Bubolz, 19, of Verona, sustained a head injury as a result of the crash.
Bubolz was transported, via ambulance, to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
