Armed Robbery Update - Suspect Arrested

At approximately 5:37pm, Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an armed robbery at a residence in the Village of Deerfield. One adult female reported that a man entered her residence and robbed her at gunpoint. The suspect was described as a black male. The suspect fled in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured during the incident. Detectives do not believe this to be a random home invasion, but are looking for anyone who may have information related to this crime. Information can be relayed to detectives by calling the Dane County tip line at (608) 284-6900. ***UPDATE*** January 24, 2008 - At approximately 2:00 am Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Town of Madison Police arrested 34-year-old Antonio A. Johnson of Deerfield. Johnson was booked in to the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of Armed Robbery, Theft, Resisting, Intimidation of a Victim, and a probation hold. Authorities were led to Johnson when they discovered the Chevy Malibu that had been stolen from the Village of Deerfield in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Pheasant Ridge in the town of Madison. Jammie C. Hunter, age 38 of Madison, was also arrested for Possession of Cocaine. Hunter was standing near the stolen vehicle when it was found. ###
