Hunter's Sight In Program

Madison, WI: November 3, 2007- The first day of the Dane County Sheriff's Office Hunter's Sight In program was a huge success. There were 95 deer hunters with 135 weapons, who sighted in their deer weapons. This was the first time during the Hunter's Sight In program, a health screening was conducted for deer hunters. Meriter Hospital conducted screening on blood pressure, cholesterol, EKG, body mass and body fat index for 38 participants. There were 15 walk-ins just for the health screening. Meriter Hospital also is conducting a raffle for free deer processing and a $50.00 gift certificate for Gander Mountain. The Hunter's Sight In program will continue through November 16, 2007, from 8:30am-3:30pm at the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center. Cost is $10 for the first weapon and $5.00 for each additional weapon. Bore sighting is free. For additional information you can call 849-2662.
