Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Man Armed With Knife

October 19, 2007. Madison, WI – At approximately 5:40 pm yesterday, Dane County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a business on Lake Drive in the town of Albion for an armed man threatening to harm himself and others. Earlier in the day, Clay G. Nesbit had been sent home by his employer after he showed up to work intoxicated. A short time later, Nesbit returned to his place of employment armed with a knife and began threatening his co-workers. With the assistance of the Edgerton Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol, Clay G. Nesbit, age 46 of Janesville, was taken into custody. He is currently being held in the Dane County Jail on tentative charges of First Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Intimidation of a Victim, Disorderly Conduct While Armed, and Criminal Damage to Property.
