Serious Injury Incident Under Investigation - UPDATE

October 11, 2007. Madison, WI – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious injury traffic incident that occurred at approximately 11:30 pm last night on Roidt Drive in the town of Pleasant Springs. Deputies responded to a report of an injured person lying along Roidt Drive near CTH MN. The initial investigation indicated the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling on Roidt Drive with two passengers. The injured person, who was one of the passengers, had reportedly fallen from the moving vehicle. He was transported by EMS to Meriter Hospital with life threatening injuries. The injured passenger is a 19 year-old male from Stoughton. The vehicle was driven by a 19 year-old male from Marshall. The second passenger, a 21 year-old Verona man, reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. Alcohol appears to be a factor and charges are pending. Names are not being released at this time due to the severity of the injuries and the ongoing investigation. ***UPDATE*** October 12, 2007. Madison, WI – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the identities of the individuals involved in the October 11th traffic injury incident that occurred on Roidt Drive in the town of Pleasant Springs. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was 19 year-old Brandon S. Foley of Marshall. The injured passenger is 19 year-old Jeffrey M. Francis of Stoughton. Francis remains in serious condition at Meriter Hospital in Madison. The other passenger was 21 year-old Joshua C. Bragg of Verona. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
