Deputies Intervene On Suicide Attempt
Madison, WI. May 23, 2025 – Deputies in the Dane County Jail acted quickly to intervene on a resident suicide attempt in the Dane County Jail yesterday morning.
At approximately 1:25 am on Thursday May 22, 2025, deputies were doing rounds on the 6th floor of the City-County Building jail. They discovered a 50-year-old man in his cell who had attempted to harm himself. Additional Deputies and medical staff quickly responded to the cellblock and were able to apply a tourniquet, getting him needed medical care. The man was transported to a local hospital by Madison EMS where he received essential medical care and will be returned to the Dane County Jail after medical clearance.
