Blue Mounds Death Investigation

At 11:44 am, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 10889 Smokey Mountain Trail in the Village of Blue Mounds, after witnesses reported a disturbance between two females.

A 54-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 31-year-old woman left the scene in a vehicle, but was quickly taken into custody as a person of interest in this investigation.
