Truck vs. Tractor Crash

Madison, WI – July 12, 2024 – At 4:37 pm on Friday, July 12th, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a truck vs tractor crash on CTH K west of US Highway 12 in the Town of Springfield.

The pickup truck was traveling east on CTH K and as it crested a hill, it struck an Allis Chalmers farm tractor also traveling east on CTH K. The tractor driver, a 70-year-old male, was transported by Middleton EMS to UW Hospital. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year old man from Waunakee, was transported by Waunakee EMS to UW Hospital for minor injuries. He was issued citations for Failure to Maintain Control and for Following Too Closely.

CTH K was closed for several hours while the crash reconstruction experts, crime scene investigator and drone operator completed the investigation.
