Town of Madison Shots Fired

Tuesday, March 29, 2022 – On Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 3:46am, deputies from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, responded to Perry St. in the Town of Madison after residents reported hearing multiple gunshots. Several vehicles reportedly sped away from the gunfire. Deputies located in excess of 70 shell casings and damage to three vehicles. No injuries were reported related to this incident.

Dane County Sheriff’s Office Detectives continue to investigate this incident. Anyone with potential information is encouraged to contact the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Tips Line at (608) 284-6900.  .

***UPDATE***

May 12, 2022 – The Dane County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three men in connection with the March 26 shooting on Perry St. in the Town of Madison.

  • Christopher E. Tibbs, age 32 of Madison

  • Malcom M. Whiteside, age 27 of Madison

  • David T. Taylor, 34 of Madison

Tibbs is also facing charges related to a shooting at Club Bristol in November of 2021. All three men are tentatively charged with 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. There is potential for additional charges.

Detectives with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to investigate the Town of Madison shooting, as well as the Club Bristol shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Dane County tip line at (608) 284-6900.
