Town of Oregon House Fire

At 9:41 pm Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Fire and EMS units from Evansville, Albany, Oregon, Brooklyn and New Glarus, responded to a house fire at 453 Union Rd. in the Town of Oregon.

The homeowner called 911 stating their attic was on fire.  The three occupants and their dog were able to safely exit the home.  The house is considered a total loss and was valued at approximately $800,000.

The cause of the fire possibly originated in the chimney but remains under investigation and it does not appear to be suspicious.
