Community Notification Meeting

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office encourages citizens in the town of Cottage Grove to attend a Community Notification meeting on the release of Peter A. Oliver.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services will host an informational community meeting on November 4, 2021 at 5:00pm via Zoom. The link for the meeting:

The Core Team will offer information about the Community Notification Law and the release of Peter A. Oliver to an address on HWY 12 & 18. His photo will be provided at the meeting, as well as more detailed information on his offenses. Oliver was convicted of two counts of Sexual Assault of a Child. He is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program. 

Authorities will also provide citizens with information about protective behaviors and personal safety. Peter A. Oliver is not wanted at this time, and this information is not intended to increase fear, but rather inform the public. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated.
