The Dane County Sheriff’s Office will be unveiling improved language access policies and procedures aimed at fostering equitable access and inclusivity. Over the past several months, the Sheriff’s Office has been fine-tuning language access policy and procedure with the assistance of the Department of Justice and Dane County’s inaugural language access and reporting specialist, in the County’s Office for Equity and Inclusion. The process is ongoing and will include ongoing internal and external partnership and engagement.
“Our language access policies and procedures are a testament to our commitment to equality and inclusion,” said Sheriff Kalvin Barrett. “By proactively addressing language barriers, we are fostering a more connected community where everyone can fully participate.”
