Shots Fired

Just before midnight on Tuesday, July 11th, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Congress Avenue in the town of Burke for reports of shots fired.

The location of the shooting was determined to be the 3600 block of Burke Road. Evidence was recovered from the area, including approximately 12 shell casings.

No damage or injuries were reported. The shooting is under investigation and deputies are doing follow-up with citizens in the neighborhood. Anyone with information is asked to call the Dane County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 608-284-6900.
