The Dane County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate numerous burglaries throughout the county. Detectives are seeking any information the public may be able to provide on these crimes. In addition, the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone of the need to secure businesses, homes, garages, and vehicles at all times. Most recently, Dane County deputies have responded to several reports of overnight burglaries in the Goodland County Park neighborhood, in the townships of Dunn and Blooming Grove. Subjects have entered homes and stolen purses, and easily accessible items. These burglaries have occurred between the hours of 1:00 am and 5:00 am. If you have witnessed any suspicious activity correlating to this information, please call the Dane County tip line at (608) 284-6900. Additionally, detectives continue to investigate several daytime burglaries in the Burke, Sun Prairie, Medina, and York townships. On Friday, January 23rd, there was a residential daytime burglary in the town of Medina where a home was entered by force and several thousand dollars of jewelry and electronics were stolen. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents to be aware of the activity in their neighborhood. Maintain lines of communication with neighbors, and report any suspicious activity to authorities immediately. ###
